Beliefs
We believe...
- The Bible is the inspired and only infallible and authoritative Word of God. (2 Tim 3:16)
- There is one God, eternally existent in three persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Ghost. (2 Cor 13:14)
- In the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His veracious and atoning death, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and His personal future return to this earth in power and glory to rule a thousand years. (Matt. 16:18 –I Cor 15:3,4)
- In the blessed hope, which is the rapture of the Church at Christ’s coming. (Titus 2:13)
- The only means of being cleansed from sin is through repentance and faith in the precious blood of Christ. ( I Pet.18 & 19)
- Regreneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential for personal salvation. (John 3:3-5)
- The redemptive work of Christ on the cross provides healing of the human body in answer to believing prayer. (I Peter 2:24)
- The baptism of the Holy Spirit, according to Acts 2:4, is given to believers who ask for it. (Acts 2:39)
- In the sanctifying power of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a holy life. (Galatians 5:16)
COMMUNION
We observe the Lord’s Supper several times a year. This celebration of Communion is a symbol of Jesus' last Passover Feast. The elements of juice and bread are symbolic of His shed blood and broken body. Communion is open to all who have accepted Jesus Christ as their personal Savior, and we invite and encourage all believers to participate
WATER BAPTISM
Water Baptism by immersion is encouraged for all who have accepted Jesus Christ as Savior. Water Baptism is an outward sign and testimony of the believer to the inward work of grace wrought by the Spirit of God in the “new birth”. In Water Baptism we identify with Jesus’ death and resurrection, and symbolize our death to the old sinful nature of man and resurrection of new life in Jesus. We do not baptize infants, but parents are encouraged to dedicate their children to the Lord in a Baby Dedication Service
